No. My general answer is “don’t be an idiot when it has obvious consequences.”

You don’t read me fine at all, considering you’re still thinking I’m just France-bashing.
I’m not taking a moral high ground. What high ground is there? My own nation created an unsolvable logistics mess that at this point requires a couple hundred million extra people to have even a chance of solving.
I wish it were that intelligent.
I think you might want to reread my post without your assumptions. Nothing I said within it was complimentary of America. In fact, even the law I brought up France potentially copying from America wasn’t presented as being a compliment to America.
Actually, the energy-saving bulbs wouldn’t be an issue if it wasn’t for the warehouse issue. If they were recycling the mercury. the entire thing would be no problem at all.
Knowing France? I wouldn’t be surprised if this turned out to be more stupid than the way we Americans handle it, and our method is pretty fucking stupid.
Applaud it only once we’re certain it isn’t actually stupid. France has done a few other things that are environmentally sound on the surface, but idiotic at best and an environmental disaster waiting to happen at worst once you dig into the details.
Might not work in France if they have a similar measure on the books.
Nope. She’s a variation of a particular centaur species that originates within the furry community.
I can’t take ibuprofin. I have a bad reaction to it.
What is the reason the waste is being caused? If that is not addressed, this law does nothing good.
WW1/2 specifically targeted civilian populations. The United States, in particular, made it a point to nuke civilians during the second.
The United States did when we left Saddam Hussein in power after Desert Storm.
Exactly. Things like this are why we kept Saddam in power for so long. Because as crazy and evil of a bastard as he was, we were well aware there was far worse out there and, unfortunately, our own intelligence determined the genocidal maniac was the only balance we had against that worse.
If she had actually tried to do something, she would have earned a Darwin Award.
It doesn’t help that they built it in the stupidest place possible for a structure that’s supposed to survive global warming.
What you’re talking about is implied consent, which is what Buzz Killington referred to much earlier in the conversation when he talked about the real world not working like college campuses.
Wait, so just because it’s common, it’s not a crime?
A rape apologist for pointing out these assholes have a way to harass her further using evidence that is acceptable by the much lower standards of a civilian court?
