So how long before we have “standing room only” sections where everyone is crammed in nice and tight so the can’t fall over during turbulence?

And the equally big problem, how many fast charging stations do you pass on those journeys? If you're not going from/to the California coast, I suspect the answer is a distressingly low number for those who would argue that you should switch to an EV..
Infrastructure is the real problem. In large swaths of the country, 300 miles is currently not enough unless you are going to be content with never really leaving home. To get there we are going to need to roll out vast charging capacity to rural America, especially since that 300 in February is more like 2xx? …
And we're a large country. How many Brits contemplate driving to Moscow? Yet London is 1000 miles closer to Moscow than NYC is to LA..
Am I going one who read this and thought "I'd much rather have a Renault Clio."?
In a way, that's part of the beauty of this thing. Your not "destroying" anything rare and valuable by making this your own..
It's someone else's project, but it's offered for it's real value as a weird and cool offroader, not at the likely higher total cost of it's parts. NP
Spot on.
Am I the only one who thought this should have dropped on April Fools Day? It's a car site, why are people so focused on Torch's hair?
I don’t want to encourage people to ask more, but where I live this in this kind of condition could easily command double the 2k they’re asking..
So true. In my neck of the woods, this thing with "tetanus shot required" body work would still be worth 2k..
2k, with a manual, clean bodywork, and moves under its own power. NP.
A disturbingly large number would answer yes because a) they can't let someone pinch the nose of their world view or b) because they couldn't extrapolate the percentage to their daily lives. I do think there is actually a solid minority who'd honestly answer yes, but they tend to hold different social and political…
While I agree with your point, it’s also true that we have, for a first world country, a rather high number of people who want everything to be ‘merican and get confused easily. These tires are clearly marketed to those folks in a deceptive manner.
Was he arrested or taken into protective custody? He was trying with a Mustang after all..
The multipla is the late '90s version of a brown car with plaid seats.
I’ve never known a lot about planes, but I’ve always liked the A-10. There’s something to be said for a tool that isn’t “pretty”, but does it’s job really well..
This is one more thing I like about the midwest, plenty of space to park. In LA, two (allegedly) grown adults fought over a parking spot, meanwhile in Michigan a motoring journalists has enough space to turn his home into a junkyard, or, homage to the Jeep brand..
I think really points out where I am on the continuum. I didn’t jump on smartphones until cheaper android phones with sensible options were available (ie sd cards and user changeable batteries)
I'd say I probably dislike Tesla because of Musk... that and some of what they do feels too much like reinventing the wheel for no good reason..
