As wonderful as Precious was, I'd start with this. When I saw Precious with my mom, it was one of the first movies I saw after I had my kid. Halfway through the movie, imagine me with loud, gulping sobs. I had new found respect for Lenny Kravitz and Mariah Carey, but I can't imagine seeing that movie again.

Uh, are we forgetting Precious? He was wonderful in that, too.

I really need to see Winter's Bone before this comes out. I enjoy the books, and from what I understand of her first film, they're similar characters.
