I just passed Psych 101 last semester. The only thing that I retained from the class is that this isn't really negative reinforcement, as Dr. Venkman tells the subject. Negative reinforcement would have been if he had taken away the shocks when the guy got the cards right. Seriously, only thing I learned in class.
