As of late Wayne has become such an insufferable douche that it makes it hard to enjoy the Lips' music, even the older stuff. Up until Feb-March of this year, I could still listen to The Soft Bulletin like once a week.

She did mention banned books that her father had read to her, so there is some subtext of an intellectual rebellion implied, at least.

The first film maintains the original mythology for the most part, much more so than the cartoon series that the kids grew up on. That's what makes it good. Sure, it's cheesy, but it's a kid's movie. It's good BECAUSE it maintains the mythology.

Just checked wikipedia. WAS married to Eastman. Thanks for that, really. Interesting pop culture I didn't know!

I need to look up the details—but around the mid-2000s, Laird bought out the rights from Eastman. (But Eastman could still do some turtles stuff if he wanted to.)

Haven't seen it since the original run, but I would say that "Fusion" was a really great Enterprise episode. In my memory, it was one of the best…

No argument here about the great early works.

Who, just out of curiosity?

I understand your feelings. But did it ruin the back catalog of music for you??? I was super sad that Sonic Youth split up, but I can still listen to their music and enjoy it.

I think that they could have kept making good music if they hadn't have split up. The Eternal is a good record, it had lots of great songs; and the show I saw for that tour was great.

I was planning on posting something a little more detailed later. Pressed for time. I enjoy the show, but some of the stuff in the episode was SOOOOO cheesy, it was the cheesiest Defiance has ever been. Thus, my comment, however brief, encapsulated my feelings:
