I'm curious to know - what floor is the Bjork exhibit on.

Who really cares. Should people be forced to hire somebody they dont want to work with? We haven't reached a fascist dystopia quite yet

I'll just leave this here

Bless you Channing you are doing the works for me

This article sparked a conversation between my husband and me about which of these two glorious examples of the male form is hotter.

PRAISE BILLITH

It still implies that certain shapes aren't correct for women to have. For most people, a model body is not attainable. That doesn't mean their bodies aren't real. Keep in mind that most tall thin women are also average women and not glamorous models. There's no need to harm them as collateral damage when

Out of curiosity, what exactly is the "average" woman, then? Because when I actually try to envision that person, I can't come up with an image. So if someone is tall and thin, but leads a normal life and isn't involved in high fashion at all, are they not "real women" because their appearance is fairly similar to

We do recognize it for what it is, which is why we're calling bullshit on the term. What on earth makes you think it's okay to describe thin and/or attractive women as not real?

When people use the phrase "real women" they are telling a segment of the population that they aren't real, and it is completely okay for those women to get upset.

So what? Those who complain may be on the skinny end of the spectrum, but that doesn't mean they forfeit their right to get upset. Someone who is thin and (what someone else may consider to be) attractive can still feel insecure—to the same degree that someone who is overweight would. Sure everyone with common sense

Sorry, but when you use the phrase "real women" as a way to refer to "average women", you're just as guilty as the people who hold up models as an ideal of beauty. If you need to denigrate a group of women as "not real" versus another group, then you're missing the point.

no one is playing stupid. People do recognize the phrase for what it is. Body shaming anyone is not ok. Hence the "we're all real."
