Yeah really agree. It seems like a weird remake that’s neither nostalgic enough nor fresh enough.

I think a lot of commenters are confusing the TTRPG for the genre.

oh oh - this is what we need. Cyberpunk 20XX: Utopia. Where everyone is respected instead of objectified. You go around doing good deeds for people who are already happy and continue to be.

Also, of course, add some characters who are actually affected by these things...

With all of the trans commentary on 2077 it really seems like CDPR missed a golden opportunity to focus the narrative on identity.

I’d love to see a “sequel” in the form of a predator survival horror game. Totally different, but totally the same.
