Yes, I know that.
Yes, I know that.
Because people REALLY want Woody Allen to be a pedophile. Righteous anger tickles the brain in all the right ways.
I haven’t watched House of Cards, but I do understand that it has been a breakthrough role for Robin Wright, and that she’s very good in it. I feel bad for her that it’s all fallen through it seems for now. Maybe they could have a final season of House of Cards without Spacey that could be a triumph for her. I…
So, for those who weren’t watching last season, I had been recapping the monthly Riverdale tie-in comics in these reviews (previous recaps are in previous reviews). The show is back, and a new issue came out today:
I loved Betty and Kevin both freaking out when Hiram showed up at the school and Veronica called him “daddy.” I’m not even sure if it was because they were shocked to see him, or because she used the term “daddy.” Either way it was great.
Archie: “First you got shot, then Miss Grundy is killed. What if someone is going after the people I care about?”
The long-awaited debut of Midge! Uh, okay, bye Midge.
As absurd and over-the-top—“campy” tends to be the buzzword—as Riverdale is, part of what makes that works so well…
Ghost World is probably my favorite of the genre.
It was very weird to have a black character mention “riots” and then talk about how they were done by “thugs.”
Was it c*nt?
I’m not surprised. Thanks to out of control PC culture, it’s a lot harder to make a movie while coked out of your mind.
No one’s here but fuck it here’s a shuffle thread anyway:
Leatherface - Bowl Of Flies
65daysofstatic - Fix The Sky A Little
Coheed and Cambria - Ghost
Sebadoh - Not A Friend
Metallica - The Thing That Should Not Be
Sea Monkey See - Leroy Jenkins
Alpha Male Tea Party - I Still Live At Home
You can’t do one cause he was so good.
I like “Rebels” a lot, mostly for the unrepentant white-trash stance of its narrator (with a side of self-pity) - and its clever rhymes.
“Night Driver” is a perfect encapsulation of the 3:00 AM lull on the road when you are so close to your destination that you cannot stop but really should.
Shuffling right out the door to a living commentariat, that’s what.
I am not going to pretend I didn’t want some more answers but overall I really enjoyed it. So happy to see Julee at end of 17. And honestly I like that both Andy and Lucy had really important roles to play. I appreciate the Reddit posts that point things out to me I would have not caught the whole tremond/chefault…
How can you possibly recap the season of Twin Peaks in just two minutes and 40 seconds, when Booker T & The MG’s “Green Onions” runs 2:56?
