Sounds like someone needs to get a life, or ya know... maybe go enjoy a game or touch some grass outside.

That’s kind of what annoys me about this. i haven’t played it many years, but it was always billed as sort of an ecchi fighting game if I recall. It was a key part of the kickstarter campaign. So taking out the pervy stuff (even if it’s minor changes) does seem like a bit of betrayal in that regard. It’s like if

They also took out a kick starter-backed goal (the Russian announcer) and a lot of content from the official art book has been altered, but the big thing that absolutely should have been left in was Big Band, a black character, getting beaten to a pulp by crooked cops. It’s vital to his story arc and erasing it is

Never played this, nor do I really care about fighting games at all. But I am a little uncomfortable with the sanitization of deliberately provocative media. It’s a transparently fetishistic fighting game, I’m not sure what face you’re saving here. That said, at least it seems it was the developers of the game

I see it as a sort of happy compromise in a way. Obviously the decision to not grant rewards for beating up GCPD officers is to gently steer players towards the established canon that Batman and co. view the GCPD as an allied force since they’re both working to prevent crime in Gotham. Ergo, they wouldn’t directly

I’ll have a second comment about this post but since there’s no other good place to talk about this I’ll do it here:

How can Frieza be bi if their race only has a single gender?

Classic Kotaku. You could have written an interesting article about the game series for its 35th anniversary, but I suppose it was easier to just recycle all the Kotaku articles about how bad Quiet’s design is.

She is vilified not because she is ‘not perfect’ or that because she ‘misspoke because it was painful’, but because it was proven that she has repeatedly lied and manipulated many people around her. And, what is even more important, it was clearly shown before the court that she abused him as well. For crying out

Wait so he was concerned about the character appearing in a spin off title (that has not once affected stories or anything really in the characters’ respective main games), muddying the lore of his series which is already a gigantic clusterfuck?

Netflix doesn’t even call it anime, why are you?

What self respecting adult uses the term “sussy” instead of “suspect” when writing an article?

From my list of things no one on the internet needs or should use:

Okay, Stephen Ddungu here. Firstly Jeremy, I didn’t know you were going to make it a race issue, I’m quite disappointed to be honest.

That’s some pretty mean Joycon drift

Whether you’re bothered by the DLC being ripped from the mobile game or not, it’s hard to argue that Nintendo didn’t phone it in by doing so.

Imagine a group of allies and progressives being like “hey we want to explore some other cultures in a fun and not appropriation way so let’s hire some people to guide us on that way and present it to people” and standing on the sidelines and being like NO YOU CAN’T DO THAT!!!!

So....a solution? Sounds like you don’t want them to explore these cultural identifiers and the explorer-genre tropes. Should half the cast be fired and people you find “approved” be playing this game?

This may seem like an overly cynical and bad-faith interpretation of what Critical Role is doing with this new campaign.”

That’s a terrible and click-baity headline. That applies to all 2.5D games. Also what does the author think first person games do? They put the camera where the model would be and sometimes they have arms or legs model. That bullet point related to first person makes no sense being a bullet point.
