You know, this advert just makes me sad. Tomb Raider makes me think about Angelina Jolie, and how she literally had a killer body, so she ended up needing to have bits of it removed. :(

What on earth were they trying to convey in this advert? Be a sweaty wiener?

Looks more than anything like someone went “this is all too dark! Someone turn the lights on so people can actually see what’s going on! No, no - even more lights than that!”

I think I remember Hiroshi Fujioka (the actor who played Kamen Rider) saying that he couldn’t actually see out of the mask well, so it was actually not very safe to ride like that. I hope this new fellow has managed to solve that problem!

It really is interesting the pain people can endure while playing video games they’re into. I think there was once a study where they did some usually-really-painful medical practice on people while they were distracted playing Tetris... and they didn’t notice nearly as much as they should have...

I watched Madoka Magica a few years ago, and... I don’t think of it as being satirical at all. I actually mainly thought of it as being “the magical girl Evangelion” - because you have the same expectation of “this is a monster of the week hero show”, but it turns out that if you actually put children in that sort of…

The only other anime I can think of which I consider satire is a tiny little anime called “Double J”, which is one of those 5-minute episode looks-like-Flash-animation series.
