How is it that the CW outdoes ABC at launching comic-based shows?

I want the Inhumans on Earth to meet up with Hawaii 5-0.

Suicide Squad might be the worst comic-based movie I have ever seen. BvS is just above it. Even Green Lantern was better than those messes, imo.

You saved yourself quite a bit of misery skipping BvS. I watched it when it came on a movie streaming service to which I subscribe, and I will be honest, I found it nauseating. I grew up reading Batman comics, watching the Batman: The Animated Series, and, like you, enjoying the Superman movies starring Christopher

I get your point about scaring the natives with the unending dark night sky, but I’ve gotta say: that visual was pretty cool. I wouldn’t mind if our real-life sunsets happened that way!

It’s all right, I guess. I do find it interesting that McFarlane is willing to put real violence on display—like Alara getting shot, the mob beating that man, and his character’s ex-wife getting a beating—but it’s also a little jarring. It’s like the show doesn’t know what it wants to be, and the tonal shifts are

I liked this episode much better than I liked the pilot, but, while I love Star Trek (up to Voyager, that is, and including only the 3rd movie from the Abramsverse), I’m disappointed by how closely McFarlane hews to the Star Trek template. For example, couldn’t we get a different looking bridge for once? And the

The last time I tried, the phone was a piece of garbage, which is why I made the switch to an iPhone. (I’m sure that’s what the carrier intended by carrying one garbage clamshell option.) Now I feel stuck. So, I repeat, I miss good quality clamshell phones.

Its first insanely expensive iPhone? Don’t you mean its latest insanely expensive iPhone?

Very rarely do I care whether or not a show gets cancelled. Oddly enough, when it comes to People of Earth, I care. I don’t want this to go off the air for a long time to come. The actors, of course, are part of the reason it works so well (for me), but the writing is great too. I encourage everyone to watch it at

Suspension of disbelief was never a problem for me personally, at least not in this case. I love Jurassic Park and enjoy repeat viewings of it to this day; knowing the methods used in the movie were fake didn’t stop me from enjoying it. I just have a hard time understanding why anyone other than kids would think this

Having returned to my home “town” of Brooklyn in 1999, I was around for September 11th. I will never forget that day and the perfect, clear blue sky as I and a couple of my friends walked the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan. I arrived on the Manhattan side apparently just before the first plane hit. I went down into

I find it kind of crazy that anyone ever believed that the DNA-retrieval methods employed by the scientists in the movie would actually work. I was a teenager when Jurassic Park came out, and I didn’t buy it as being really possible for a second. First of all, how would you know which mosquitoes had dinosaur blood in

Don’t get weird—People of Earth has a new episode on tonight at 10:30 ET (TBS)!

I honestly don’t know how or why Zoo maintains its audience. It really is supremely idiotic. Lol. The idiocy is becoming more tiresome than interesting, though. I found myself asking, “Why do I keep watching this show? Do I like any of the characters? Do I care to see what’s going to happen?” The answer to both of

Now we know what Abigail is a hybrid of: she is part zombie.

Thanks!

At first I thought the people who proclaimed the Kinjapocalypse and declared that they would not be returning to the AV Club might have been going a bit overboard. I’m beginning to see what they meant. :(

I wanted to smack Abe for playing thick when Dariela made her argument for getting off the crazy plane and taking their son with them. Does he think he is the only scientist in the world capable of solving the problem, or that only a scientist hanging out with this gang of mind-boggling misfits would have access to

Agreed. The real Sam Parker is a dope.
