I will be very upset if they get rid of Grant Gustin. No way Keiynan Lonsdale could fill his shoes. Not even with Violett Beane there to help him.

They tried telling Barry to slow down and take a breather, but he just would not listen.
That Wells was nice, if his brief appearance was anything to go by. That might actually be interesting, since they've had him play arrogant jerk and cold-hearted psychopath already.
Sit, Barry. Sit.
Hopefully, they'll hit the reset button early on in S3 and send Barry back to the moments after the final porch conversation of this episode.
It seems to me that Barry won't have his powers when S3 starts, because Thawne-Wells is the one who gave him his powers, and that wouldn't have happened in the new timeline. Real-Wells and his wife got the particle accelerator up and running five years after Thawne-Wells (if I'm not mistaken), which means that Barry…
^This, carlabarla! You are so right! How many TV shows have successful relationships/marriages that continue to be happy or at least productive partnerships? It's not just the CW that messes this up; plenty of other networks and shows are guilty as well. Just once I'd like to see a series start with a happily married…
Two? Black Siren and that evil failed half of Firestorm?
They didn't kill Girder, that electricity guy did… and Eobard Thawne did by sending him to fight the electricity guy knowing Girder wouldn't be able to beat him.
Wasn't there something about this on the AV Club a while back, about how the body type of what's considered masculine and fit has changed? Looking back at the Flash series Shipp starred in, I don't think his body type has changed much. He looked fine, imo. Maybe he didn't look like Henry Cavill, but why should he?
Not being a comic book reader, my only point of reference for this storyline—Barry going back in time to save his mom and throwing everything else out of whack in the process—is the Justice League Flashpoint Paradox movie. I don't see how this show can even come close to doing what that movie did; there's no Cyborg,…
Agreed. Or maybe smaller arcs that fit into a larger unseen-to-the-audience but clever arc that comes together in the penultimate and/or last episode of the season…
What did Barry do to Eobard Thawne, though? Did he kill him? And if he didn't kill him, what's to stop Thawne from trying again? It's not like there's an existing metahuman prison to hold him in that time period.
Maybe not many years, but definitely after. Yes, the real Wells should now be alive.
Does that mean Eddie Thawne/Rick Cosnett will be returning as well? I would be cool with that.
Called it last week: the show runners made sure that Barry wouldn't be in the right head space to be in a relationship with Iris. And we all know what happens with Iris now that he went back in time and saved his mom… Well, at least we know what happened in the Justice League Flashpoint Paradox movie…
I just meant that their actions didn't make sense narratively, not morally. The "legends" had other problems, namely Vandal Savage trying to destroy the world, and they stopped to beat up on people who were shooting at Vandal Savage. I find that sort of narrative dissonance annoying, but that's just me I guess.
The character is written in such a way that makes him a self-righteous buzzkill. Somehow I don't think there's an actor out there that could make that attitude either sympathetic or charming.
It would be interesting to see Sara be the one having to tone her sister down from being a mass-murdering homicidal maniac. (By mass-murdering, I refer to her bringing buildings down with people still in them over on The Flash.)
The actress who plays Nyssa has been cast on another show that premiers this fall. CBS, I think? "Training Day". Judging from the previews, though, the TV Training Day looks terrible. If it gets cancelled, maybe Nyssa will pop up in the Arrowverse again.
