Wait, I thought the guy whom Reverse Flash killed last season was a senior reporter assigned to mentor Iris. This guy was the man who ran Picture News; he was there last season; he hired Iris and assigned that guy as her mentor. (I'm too lazy to look up their names. Mason? Grayson? Son?)

You said what now? Will DS9 soon be disappearing from our Earth's Netflix? Noooooooooo!

Awwwwwww yeeeeah, that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!

Fair point.

To be fair, the plane did react. When she had to turn the plane to fit through the bridge, her hands sank into the metal—pretty deeply, IIRC.

It barely works with Benoist.

You call a B- harsh? Wow. I thought you were going easy! (Not trying to be rude, just being honest.)

The existence of that room with a door coded to Kara's hand-print alone Blew.My.Mind…

I agree that the writers for this show seem to know little to nothing about the surpassing value of subtlety and nuance and of "show, don't tell." I'm all for encouraging girls to choose their own paths and excel, but I feel like this show is trying to ram that message down my throat. I find that level of preachiness

The problem is that there are so many plot holes that it seems there are more holes than there is plot.

I'm in for one more episode. If it doesn't improve significantly by then, I won't be back.

It doesn't help Rafael that Rogelio is also firmly on Michael's side. Come to think of it, I don't think anyone in Jane's family is on Rafael's side. I'm not sure how Alba feels about it, one way or the other.

Wow, I think you might actually be right. That would stink for both Michael and Jane, but especially Jane. I hope you're wrong… but I've got this sinking feeling that you're probably right. Does that mean they'll introduce yet another love interest for Jane, since the CW is all about triangles and squares and all

I didn't get the sense that he overheard Michael's conversation with Jane, since he was on the phone. He did hear Jane's declaration of choosing Michael, though.

1. I love Jane.
2. "All food here."
3. The show built to that kiss very nicely.
4. Whoa.
5. "It should be noted that when Jane arrived home, well, she was walking on air… briefly. It's complicated." Great visuals and music.

1/Okay, I guess that's a matter of personal preference.
2/I'm not sure what you mean by scope.
3/I appreciate its focus on women and that they have conversations about matters other than relationships with men. I dislike the way The Flash marginalizes its female characters, even though one has to admit that its central

I understood what you meant about him having a head start on Arrow. If I had seen those episodes on Arrow before watching the Flash pilot, then it would have been unfair of me to compare that pilot to this one. Since I didn't, I could fairly make the comparison between the two pilots based on my reactions to both.

I agree with your arguments and you have some good ideas about alternative career paths for Kara Danvers. You may be right about the voices of the suits outweighing those of the nerds.

I would be interested to read your reasons for preferring this pilot, if you would like to elaborate.

Ways to Improve Supergirl:
1. Make James Olsen a villain.
2. Turn Cat Grant into an actual cat, preferrably a fluffy one. (Make this transformation irreversible. A talking cat Cat Grant might be fun as well.)
3. Turn Winn into a peppy office girlfriend instead of a friend-zoned geek who moons over the oblivious heroine.
4.
