I think the complaint is more that they tend to be willing to destroy targets somewhat less selectively than might be hoped

To be fair it’s quite believable that schoolchildren/highschoolers might use a lot of big words they don’t know
Was he surprised by the quality because you were a woman or because you were, you know, writing fanfic?
I mean, yes, the Pope is Catholic
“you could over-represent both groups for decades without ever being able to reach any sort of parity for the white homogeneity of the past”
This is true, to be sure. But surely the goal is to make race no longer a predictor of success as a writer (or at all)? If the world were like that, why would the identities of…
It just seems to me like legalization and human trafficking are different issues. Heavily exploited migrant labour is a problem in many industries: child care, farm labour, unskilled manufacturing. Should working as a nanny therefore be illegal?
I don’t understand why you feel sex workers should be expected to account for this. It’s like saying we should make factories illegal because sweatshops exist.
Are you at least arguing that legalization would result in *more* human trafficking? If not I don’t see how the two issues are even connected.
I think the idea isn’t so much that legalization would stop rape as that it wouldn’t worsen the problem. This neutralizes a common justification for keeping sex work illegal.
That’s sort of a big “if” though isn’t it?
Sex workers sell their “holes” in only the sense masseuses sell their “hands” and hairdressers sell their “scissors”. The actual product is of course the service: a gratifying sexual experience, or a massage, or a haircut.
The speculation was that more attractive women pair off with more quickly (because they are attractive) with men (because of social pressure) and therefore never explore their identities. That’s entirely consistent with what you’re saying here.
I’m actually legitimately a bit curious about what you’re getting at now. There’s no direct relation between energy, time, and force in general that I’m aware of. Maybe you’re referring to the Sedov blast wave, which does relate energy, time, and pressure but which is specific to certain explosions? I guess that would…
Well the woman above actually did end up conning a guy out of thousands of dollars but yeah this is a bit much
Pretty bang on. “I have needs which aren’t being met” is one thing, but your wife is a *partner* i.e. a human being you should talk to about your relationship even if it’s hard, not a goddamn bundle of useful functions.
Yeah this guy obviously sucks. I do sort of agree that random people cheating on each other isn’t the Internet’s business really though.
He does seem to be somewhat overestimating the strength of his position
His word choice does help explain why he *failed* to get laid, yes
I have always wondered about that myself yeah
I think you mean force, time, and *momentum* but it might be hard to see the difference from way up on your pedestal
meh
