100% agree - less custom pieces, more traditional.

Might have been killed — they can die if you hit them enough. I lost one through an ill timed artillery strike and another from feral ghouls.

They did a few, the LEGO MMO was pretty free in what you could do and they partnered with Minecraft in some ways.

Realistically yer right though, a 100% imagination based Minecraft-esque LEGO game would be great, especially if you could build vehicles and fly them about.

It succeeds for the same reason as LEGO — no limit to what you can do and you can play it how you want. It's up to the individual to decide what their game will be.

There is generally a reason that the original 3 movies are quotable almost 40 years later and most people can’t remember much from the latter 3 in a much smaller time period.
