Do you think they will name a sandwich after Hamm?

I agree, provided that Matthew Weiner lets Don survive the series!

I guess Masters and Johnson were contemporaries of Don and Betty!

I wonder if Peter Florrick's father was a lawyer in 1970? He could be hired to prepare Betty's will !

Probably most historians do not want to do the research necessary to write a book on the subject!

Yes, I commented on that earlier. "Fat Betty" was not in the original script, and I have always believed that Matthew Weiner wrote her out of several scenes until she had shed January Jones's baby fat.

What about Megan's acting? I guess Henry is in politics which many people consider acting! It might just work! :-)

Matthew Weiner has us all guessing! That was and is his goal. What is so interesting is that Matthew Weiner has stated that he has known for years how it will all end. Whatever is coming has been in the works for a long time.

My parents were buried, but my mother-in-law died in 2007 and, as she wished, she was cremated. We were given her ashes in an urn and it was a very emotional experience. We drove the urn around town to the places she had enjoyed most in life, before laying her ashes to rest in the family cemetery.

Sorry, but your reference to Betty as "selfish" in this instance offends me mightily!

I would! Don is an alcoholic and a rogue, but nothing changes a parent like the love of children and to be needed by the children. The question is: Will Matthew Weiner let him survive the series?

I have always wondered: If Nancy Marchand had lived, would Tony's mother have survived all 86 episodes? Would she have been at Holsten's Restaurant on June 10, 2007, munching onion rings with the family as the screen faded to black?

Betty was a very good mother considering who was helping her raise the children! The only real difficulties came after the divorce.

The pilot has aired many times since 2007. It started with Don Cherry's recording of "Band of Gold" which had been a hit in 1955, still playing on a juke box in 1960! I would love to ask Matthew Weiner why he did that? Maybe it was to clue us in that the rogue we were meeting is married?

Betty "shed the suit" when January Jones gave birth. "Fat Betty" was not a creation of Matthew Weiner's creativity for the show.

Betty gained all of the weight when January Jones was pregnant. I hope Matthew Weiner cannot be blamed for that!

We are assuming that Betty's smoking caused her cancer. We now know that secondary smoke can cause cancer. and nobody introduced more secondary smoke into Betty's life than did Don. Based on the sheer number of cigarettes we see him light up during an episode, it is safe to assume that he smokes in the shower and

Groucho Marx loved to tell a story he always insisted was true. When he was told at a California country club that no Jews were allowed in the pool, he replied: "My daughter is only half-Jewish. Can she at least go in the pool up to her knees?"

However, the signature ad for Camel Cigarettes in the 1950's and the 1960's was that they were preferred by 9 out of 10 doctors. That led to the dirty joke we used to tell in high school: "Did you know that after testing camels for 30 days, 9 out of 10 doctors still prefer women!"

Please tell us more! Sounds fascinating (For those of you who may not know, it is alleged that Rocky died in the sack in the arms of another woman!)
