Why have I been writing all this Good Fight fan fiction if you haven’t even been watching the show?! The things I do for the folks on Jezebel. I never get appreciation.

Lego Batman was pretty awesome.
I could see it happening, but I hope most of my (trans) community is more realistic and aware than that. I have enough awareness of trans history to know how language and trans identity terminology developed to not have expectations around about a show set in 1896.
I thought that was consensual! Wasn’t it? I was sort of perplexed by it.
The Dignity Zone is half your age plus seven years. Paulson falls neatly into the zone. It’s all good. Adults can adult as they please; that’s what consent is for.
Also he jammed his tongue down Debra Messing’s throat when he acted opposite her on Will & Grace and she asked to never have him back on the set because she was grossed out by the non-consensual tongue.
I feel like Branagh looks more like Colonel Mustard than Poirot.
Ryan Murphy has problems of his own, reportedly.
There’s gotta be a gofundme for this guy, right? I came looking for it from twitter. Guess I need to do some more searching.
Lynda and Gal apparently have a mutual appreciation society going on between them, so you’re probably right about that.
We need an alternate rating system. Not the Bechdel Test, but a system that fixes the MPAA ratings, separates sex from sexual violence, tracks the number of female and LGBT characters, and also tracks character deaths. Autostraddle did a model of something like it for their tracking of LGBT characters on screen and…
Sarah Shahi was the star of “Fairly Legal” which was a very charming legal drama/comedy. She was stellar on it, but unfortunately the show was cancelled after the first season. I nevertheless own that season on DVD and watch it every now and then. Because she was sexy/funny.
I’d rather have a trans person telling my story than a close friend. I love my close friends, but I shudder to think how they would interpret my gender dysphoria.
Because they always do a shit job when we could do a better one. Really. Understanding gender dysphoria is not possible unless you are actually one of us. Cis people have proven over and over again that they have no way of understanding it, and no way of portraying it in writing or on screen.
Transgender people own Marsha’s story. Marsha’s, and Sylvia Rivera, and Billy Tipton, and Renée Richards, and Alexis Arquette (although her very loving family probably has first dibs), and Christine Jorgenson, and Louise Lawrence, and Albert Cashier, and Lucy Hicks Anderson, and Coccinelle, and Reed Erickson, and many…
30 years ago, my class mate sued our school to sit during the national anthem - he was a Jehovah’s Witness. The school quickly caved and settled, but the precedent became state-wide policy to allow people to sit in Iowa.
Have people forgotten that legal precedent? You are not required to stand during the anthem. It’s…
The claim that Ryan Murphy is some sort of champion of feminism and treatment of women by old Hollywood is laughable.
This is a discussion of Joseph Campbell’s trope / myth analysis of “The Hero’s Journey” vs. his bullshit opposite “Girl Hero’s Journey.”
The Hero’s Journey is external, and the Girl Hero’s Journey is internal. The Hero starts out all powerful, but he doesn’t know it; he’s the King’s son who thinks he’s an orphan, and…
‘but she wants someone to come in with a “point of view about what they want to do.”’
So, send in my fanfic, then? Because I have a point of view. One that hews a hell of a lot more closely to actual Greek mythology than the old show, too. That bugged the crap out of me.
I really think Arya isn’t trying to kill Sansa, or even threaten her. She just filled Sansa in on what she can do. She can assume faces. She can pretend to be almost anyone. If Sansa needs a faceless man to protect Winterfell, there is one present. I think she was helping Sansa take inventory of her weaponry.
