The claim that Ryan Murphy is some sort of champion of feminism and treatment of women by old Hollywood is laughable.

This is a discussion of Joseph Campbell’s trope / myth analysis of “The Hero’s Journey” vs. his bullshit opposite “Girl Hero’s Journey.”

The Hero’s Journey is external, and the Girl Hero’s Journey is internal. The Hero starts out all powerful, but he doesn’t know it; he’s the King’s son who thinks he’s an orphan, and

‘but she wants someone to come in with a “point of view about what they want to do.”’

So, send in my fanfic, then? Because I have a point of view. One that hews a hell of a lot more closely to actual Greek mythology than the old show, too. That bugged the crap out of me.

I really think Arya isn’t trying to kill Sansa, or even threaten her. She just filled Sansa in on what she can do. She can assume faces. She can pretend to be almost anyone. If Sansa needs a faceless man to protect Winterfell, there is one present. I think she was helping Sansa take inventory of her weaponry.

She gave up one of her children for him, that’s why he’s bending the knee now. I don’t agree with it, or at least how he went about it (not telling his siblings) but I understand his reasoning. She lost a child because she came to save him.

I really wondered though - she gave out the info about being a Faceless Man very easily to Sansa, when she wouldn’t tell that to anyone else. Granted Sansa found the faces, but she completely filled in the details for her. I wonder if she isn’t actually on Sansa’s side in some respects, just challenging her to think.

Also, Jon & Sansa had a really frosty relationship before, because she took so much of Catelyn’s anger at Jon to heart and treated him more like a servant than a brother. And he wanted to treat her like a sister and got shut down all the time. They both changed so much that when they met again it was like they could

I think the “losing part of himself” was in the last season; there was dialog about how he was no longer Bran at that point. I think the Reed girl was just hoping once he was back at Winterfell that he’d remember who he was and come back, and it didn’t happen.

And they’ve said that out loud on the show as well, back when they introduced the unsullied.

He also has the dragon horn in the books to control the dragons / call the sleeping dragons from Valeria. I’m shocked we’re not going to see that on the show.

It’s Jon’s fault. He needs a small council where he runs through these plans with Sansa and one or two other advisors so they present a united front when speaking to the banner men. She has legitimate points both times this has happened, and there were other possibilities she could have presented - like sending Sansa

Wait a minute though - fraternity and sorority hazing does often involve a significant amount of same-sex abusive sexual behavior. Some of my supposedly straight female friends had (full-on really explicit) sex with other women in their sorority as part of their hazing rituals, which shocked the crap out of me when

Really? The one that was hugely transphobic was good and funny? That’s the reason I stopped watching. It’s the reason he needs some women in the writer’s room.

Given Katy’s racist shite lately, and her transphobic instagram post, she can take a flying leap.

I would watch Orville in a heartbeat if Seth MacFarlane were not in it.

Sorry, but QJ201 is right, and you’re quite wrong. Your version of reality is incorrect. The stats are out there for trans women of color - let your fingers do the walking before your mouth does the talking.

For trans women of color, it’s suicide, followed by homicide, followed by things that affect other people, like heart disease, actually. Trans women are victims of housing bias, job bias and violence at an unprecedented degree. Stand up for trans women of color, please.

Wow, for $400 bucks though. Geez.

Yeah, I wear a 4e also - in a men’s size 6, women’s size 8. The number of shoes at that intersection is much smaller than the men’s size 11, believe me. I’m wearing those Nikes no one wants to wear. I may even buy a pair of the Asics.

I don’t have a lot of confidence that the republicans taking over for Nunes are going to do much to advance the investigation.
