The people saying that Dylan was brainwashed were Allen's people, though. Dylan maintains that it happened to this day, including in this interview just a couple months ago.

Mia recently admitted that it's possible, saying that Frank was the love of her life and she had an ongoing relationship with him.

To some extent, the irrational Girls-hate going on Jezebel probably contributes to the lack of interest in the dress because of who's wearing it.

Yeah, he really did rape Dylan Farrow, the 7 year old daughter of Mia Farrow. She talked about it for Vanity Fair recently. Thus the Mia Farrow and Ronan Farrow tweets about the Woody Allen tribute last night. Ronan is pretty protective of his sister and publicly vocal about how much he loathes Woody Allen.

Exactly. Unless it's an egalitarian arrangement where all partners are on the same footing, then no dice.

True, but the precedents throughout history are pretty damn sexist, with one person (usually male) being the focus of everyone else's attention. If the solutions are egalitarian for all the partners, then sweet. There would still be lots of complexity there, especially with family assets.

If you can eliminate the patriarchal practice of this and allow women to marry more than one man, etc., then yeah. But given that this has been traditionally about one dude owning a group of women like a herd of cattle, then no.

Yikes. I loved that line. But then I love Dunham's writing generally, and my problem with her his her white-girl-centric cluelessness about race issues.

As long as you're choosing sides:

I always ask about every step, but this one in particular - I would never, ever with the surprise move in that area. I want enthusiastic consent throughout, but especially there...

Entertainment Weekly's covers (and internal photo shoot concepts) are sometimes weirdly tone-deaf about appropriateness and/or not in sync with the plots of the shows/books/movies they cover. This is no exception.

I am trans, although I don't speak for the whole community either. :)

Medical transition from one gender to another is a brain thing, not a thing that happens in your pants. Those of us who are trans have different brain chemistry than other people with the genetic sex chromosomes that we were born with. Genitalia has nothing to do with my gender identity. They are just an outward

Explain where either of these women is cultivating a public persona based on their genitalia, though. Trans does not equal genitals. That's the point. They're answering questions on their gender identity - i.e. what's going on in their brain chemistry, not what's going on in their pants. As a trans person, if you
