I do a considerable amount of the stuff I pin. I've changed how I use cleaning products, installed a raised bed garden in the back yard last year, harvested and cooked all the vegetables and preserved the rest, knitted several of the many knitting patterns I've pinned. Some stuff I might not get to, but it's nice to

He has said far more than he prefers to be a guy. He's said that he's happy that he not longer has to challenge sexism that gets directed toward women. And he's said a number of sexist things himself about women. As a FtM, I disagree with that attitude.

Thank you! I have been hunting around for these links forever. I knew that I had read these quotes, but I couldn't find them to use as examples.

I an FtM trans, just like Chaz. I'm calling Chaz out on his statements that women's issues aren't his concern anymore.

I said he's opting out of dealing with - challenging - the discrimination. Not that he's opting out of being a woman in order to avoid the discrimination. I think my meaning was clear In the original post.

Yes, that's very much not what I said.

A) I'm FtM trans. I am sensitive to trans issues.

I'm pretty over Chaz reveling in the male privilege he now gets to enjoy after transitioning. This is not the first instance where he's made statements about how cool it is to be a guy because he gets to opt out of the discrimination that women face.

I didn't particularly view it as humor, or defend it at all. I was criticizing it, in fact.

Oh. my. god. #6. So so so so so much.

To some extent it is. Of course not all gender expression is a performance, but some of our societies expectations of gender expression, especially around the workplace where there are "act professional" constraints on personal expression - those expectations of gender are performances. And there is something about

"where he tries to make money using finance and mainly just follows his neighbors around staring like a weirdo."

I have that mug! Nobody recognizes what it is anymore. Except you.

We aren't supposed to hate suits. I didn't say that. Several of those headshots of guys, they don't look terribly happy to be posing for their picture, as if they are out of their element. Like they're dressed up in dad's clothes and kinda wish they could go out and play, is my impression.

Yeah, the author should have done a better write up. But to be fair, the second link is there, too, and no one seemed to have bothered to look at it.

The people on the second link seem to have done nothing wrong? Probably look at that one again.

I'm going to venture to say that you should definitely avoid being on that second link. The one that shows 100 percent of the people in any given organization are all guys... probably you don't want to wind up on that tumblr, or at one of those organizations.

Visit the second link, people. It actually makes the point. The first link isn't terribly compelling, but the second link is screen shots of various organizations where all of the staff, contributors, major player are white dudes.

Visit the second link - it's a lot more of an indictment than the first. It's screenshots of the bio pages of various organizations, illustrating how all of the major players are white guys.
