The work that she’s been doing since seems important and good, but it’s so shitty that this experience effectively killed her desire to keep writing. She had worked her way up to a point she could be proud of, and he poisoned the whole thing. I hope that all of these men who’ve abused their power are permanently…

This is a tough one. I loved Mad Men, and so much of it was about sexism in the work place. I’m most confused by the men who really seemed to have known better, who in their writing brought strong women to the screen and made clear they understood the bullshit women deal with in their every day lives.
Yeah but Stan turned out to be one of the most progressive characters on the show... that was kind of his character arc
To be fair he stopped being really gross after his first season. I was pretty happy to see them get together. But it sucks that he had to start out as such a creep.
Why does this sound exactly like that Mad Men episode when Peggy Olsen has to work with that gross turd of a human and he says he needs to be naked to be creative. AND Peggy ends up with said guy in the final episode.
I love Mad Men but I’m not surprised either.
