Well, not to get to semantic about it, but yes I use male/guy/man and female/gal/woman interchangeably, and you only have to look at my other responses in this thread to see that.

I appreciate the explanation, and respect your opinion, but it's also one I whole-heartedly (but respectfully) disagree with.

The event at said place was gender-neutral (basically, a Chuck E Cheese for adults), but the male counterparts were told it was a girl's only night.

Wow, overreact to an example while you're at it...oh wait...

And yet, I dated a woman a few years back whose stance on men going to a strip club without their partners as "well just what do you have to hide?".

Real thing...was more than a little disappointed I couldn't go, and so were a few of my friends who were ALSO uninvited to go with their female SO's.

Blind to your own double-standard?

Only two things I would add for counterbalance.

I'm not...really sure...what I just watched.

KITT and Michael

Gods, I miss my TriPad so badly now...

Agreed. I use that to drag movies from my network shares to my tablet before I go on a road/air trip...too lazy to actually PLUG it into my computer.

I block Facebook for my company at management's insistence, but I don't block anything else (and won't, unless ordered to).

Agreed.

Counterpoint: I'd rather have it done when I WON'T remember the event and the recovery.

The informed consent issue is sticky, no doubt.

That's not a star.

A perfectly valid point.

This is the first thing that I've read that pissed me off so much I actually felt inspired to start raising money for it.

Sibling-hate, I imagine.
