I was seriously hoping that when Mac came to a realization that he needed to turn his life around, he’d grab the beard at one sideburn and pull it off in one piece like it was attached by velcro to his face

I thought so too before I remembered that’s in New York & this entire episode was in River’s End.

On top of this maybe being my favorite episode (80s homages are my jam), I also have to give a shout-out to the sweetest homage in the episode:

Maybe he obsessively exercised in between. Kind of like a pandemic routine.

At first I was bummed that they only played a snippet of Don’t You (Forget About Me), and then they came back from the ad break and played the whole dang song. That alone makes this an all-timer for me. Then the battering ram of 80's riffs, and their own version of Fat Thor just put it over the top.

Considering that it’s trivially easy to remove those now let’s call it intentional.

Best 70s-TV touch, which may have been unintentional: The “take one” tire marks already on the ground when Enoch’s car spins into view.

Truly, we’ve reached the point of think-about-it-and-your-brains-will-spill-out, as Daisy said. However, it seems like maybe we’re supposed to go along with Deke’s metaphor of the time stream. We want ripples, not waves; in other words, tiny changes that largely preserve the status quo / the timeline instead of the maj

Daisy has to survive to have future adventures with the Avengers

I will never, EVER believe that Steve secretly hung out for decades without interfering in ANY timeline, no matter who tries to tell me otherwise.

“A Trout in the Milk” was also the title of a “Streets of San Francisco” episode from 1973

Sousa: “I wish I could’ve said some good-byes.”

Wasn’t leaving a lemon on the bed a courting ritual in Deke’s time?

I said weeks ago that Simmons was in her 70's or later and using tech to cover it up, and now I am more convinced than ever. If she is starting to suffer from Alzheimers, I may have even aimed too young.

That extended opening credits, complete with ’70s TV voiceover introductions for each actor, was delightful.

I mean, there is more than one episode left, so o assumed there was still a central conflict for them to deal with.

So what are the odds Team Cockroach eventually finds the real Good Place boring and decide to leave?  Or find it just as flawed as the point system and set out to fix things?

Do you think horror movies are murder porn?

Nothing screams “not ready to be a parent” like inviting friends and family to a party with dangerous weapons and projectiles.

Shedd claimed that a male student felt targeted by the notes and no longer left safe attending class.” asshole is in denial about the rapist who literally outed himself. police need to get the name from the principal and find out what he’s been up to.
