The spoilers that matter, IMO, are character spoilers (Character X is really working for the other side, not who you think s/he is, etc.), because they disrupt the layering that happens when you think a character is one thing and they turn out to be another.

My theory has always been that Luis comes around looking for his truck and semi-accidentally gets Scott out of the Quantum Realm. I’m probably wrong, of course, but I like my theory.

You’re right, I missed the distinction between the vaccine and tetanus immunoglobulin. Arrgh.

Clostridium tetani forms endospores in oxygenated environments. In this form it’s extremely tough and hard to kill, but metabolically inactive. Once it gets into an anaerobic environment, it reverts to the vegetative form, which is more fragile but metabolically active, and starts to reproduce and make toxins.

Imagine what would have happened if they’d inflicted even a small fraction of the same injuries by beating him.

At least he has limited protection now. Not the full course of vaccinations, but better than nothing.

Absolutely. My nephew was absolutely miserable for six weeks, but eventually got through it okay. His year-old cousin, who he’d been playing with the week before, had to take prophylactic antibiotics because, although she was being vaccinated, she had only had the first three of of the five dose course.

This is disgusting, and you should be ashamed of yourself.

Another piece of shitty automation in retail businesses is the payment systems at the registers. No two are the same, so unless you always shop in the same few places it’s hard to develop habits about which button to push and what part of the transaction the machine wants next. Do I sign with my finger or a stylus?

If a large majority of their workforce is male, which it reportedly is (87% of tech roles, 78% of management), then saying that 70% of the people laid off were men is not a great defense.

Fly, Dumbo!

There would immediately be a lot of traffic deaths and plane crashes. But I kept imagining a baby in a sling dropping to the ground when the parent disappeared. Or just left alone, wailing.

I think you’re conflating “reboot” and “reset.” Within the show, they use the word “reboot” when they start everything again from scratch with a memory wipe. “Reset” is the word that critics and fans use to describe the show’s upending basic assumptions. I can’t recall the word “reset” being used within the show to

From its very first episode, when Eleanor says “this system sucks,” the series has been moving toward a finale in which the whole Good Place-Bad Place system is upended. I still think that’s true, but other than that I have no prediction.

“I’m Marc Evan Jackson. I play Shawn.”

It just underscores that “build the wall” was never about border security; it’s aways been about racism and white supremacy.

I gave up about halfway through the first book for similar reasons. I just thought the romance was puerile.

Actually, intent does matter, but it can only count against you, which is why Tahani’s good works didn’t earn her any points. Bad intentions nullify good actions, but good intentions don’t rescue bad actions.

No, "reboot” has a very specific meaning within then context of the show. "Reset" is the term critics have been using since season 1 to describe the show's repeated changing of its own premise.

I saw this headline before I got a chance to see the episode, and it didn't strike me as a spoiler at all. And, now that I've seen the show, I can confirm that it's not.
