Sorry, just saw this! Fine by me!

I bought my first vintage MBZ about 2.5 years ago: a ‘78 280ce (w123). This is the twin-cam inline-6 powered version of the pillar less coupe. It’s now my beloved daily driver. I also have a w114 280 Sedan (same engine, only carbureted) and a ‘92 R129 500SL. I’d drive these cars anywhere, any time, and have...

Having grown up and spent the first part of my ‘responsible years’ in Massachusetts, no car from the Northeast will ever be part of my stable again. I’ll take my nice, local California cars (the ones that haven’t burned up) and their corrosion-free bolts.

I moved from New England to California. Seems to have solved the problem just fine!

Needs one more thing:

And?

Here’s my ‘91 900 S Convertible (5-spd), which, for the record, is for sale in the SF Bay Area right now. This car will GET YOU LAID. I guarantee it. I now have kids and need to sell it.

It was about 1989 when I, after much fumbling, got the bra off my first conquest.

The last cool Mitsubishi was that gigantic 40" tube television in the 90's.

About 7 years ago, my wife and I visited relatives in Mexico. They were ‘stationed’ there for four years as VW Execs on the board-of-directors track. We were picked up from a back exit at the airport in Mexico City, and brought to an armored Tiguan with some crazy hotrod engine. While hauling ass back to their secure

Looks like he robbed my high school. We had that same furniture back in the day (80's).

Two years ago, I’d have voted for the BMW. But since making a ‘78 MBZ 280ce my daily driver, I’m a convert. Granted, although the option here isn’t as tank-like as a w123, it’s still built to a standard that exceeded most others.

Assault, on battery.

I just don’t have an appreciation for any contemporary FIAT in my DNA, especially a FIAT that is merely a defaced Miata. CP, at any price.

It’ll be tight for three-across in the back, with boosters. Not even sure there’s a third seatbelt back there, come to think of it. My kids LOVE my ‘91 900S. One just sold (1991, 5spd, in need of head gasket & clutch and some rust repair) on BaT yesterday for 6k. I’m hoping to get at least that for my rust-free one in

This looks to be on Cape Cod - or the South Shore. Where ‘bouts? I’m from Chatham (but live in San Francisco now).

Nothing but smiles from the family in my ‘91 900S 5spd.

I’d say its less like the mafia and more like a cult... But yes, they both retired early because their denomination didn’t allow them to marry same-sex couples. In fact, I think the church was happy to see them go.

Jesus Chrysler...
