I must be the only person who found Thundercat's Drunk to be a disappointment. Especially when it's compared to his prior works. It kind of irritates me that he re-used Them Changes (which was on a prior EP) for this album.
Agreed. I haven't listened to them in years, but this track put them back on my radar.
"Nin"
Reading the abbreviation "NIN" always reminds me of hearing a DJ lose it on air in the 90s proclaiming that if "anyone requests Nine Inch Nails by saying 'NIN,' I won't play it."
Jane Child - Don't Wanna Fall in Love
Such a great song. Bought the 45 of it years ago at a record store and the b-side is some turd called "Brand New Love Affair."
It's just a phallic symbol, not my actual dong.
I've always felt this way and I LOVE The B-52s.
But Little Blue is pretty!
Well, the intro implies that this interview was conducted sometime last year, but still a legit point.
Lawrenceville is allegedly getting a North Park Clubhouse, so kill me. At least the inspiration for this article (Cure) is fucking great and a quality argument for the neighborhood as it becomes defined by hideous Ikea container condos.
The only time I had horse was in cured sausage form in Hungary. It was excellent.
Mike Flanagan is one of those dudes on the horror circuit that gets some hype and I really do not understand it.
And someone even killed poor Billy Bedlam.
Does the shooter feel lucky?
Losing Wicked Weed really hurt. I guess that a lot of breweries sell out for the distribution aspect of it, but in a scene that's getting hyper localized, all you're doing is assuring that your beer rots on a shelf somewhere. Six month old bottles of Pernicious will become the norm.
Beat me to it. Fuck those scum bags.
No matter how hard I try, I just cannot get into Mutoid Man. Though I feel like if they were around when I as 16 I'd love it. Cave In just needs to be active again.
The video of them playing Avon is the best live video that I've ever seen.
