I'm a lifelong Peter Gabriel fan but Peter Gabriel’s “Down To Earth“ from WALL-E is crap. At least Jai Ho was something different than another tired, soupy, over produced toothless ballad. I mean, with Down To Eath he's two steps away from joining Phil Collins and Elton John in a Three Musketeers power ballad with

I really thought Neon Golden was the sound of the future when it came out, and then I feel Postal Service really ruined it for everyone. 12 years later, it sounds better than ever, and still like the future that never came.

Thank you, Maria

You're right, actually, after the second game, Arkham City, he retired. I didn't know that! Still, he owned that part for _19 years_ and is arguably the best Joker voice of all time. Looks like he stars in something called "Regular Show" which is still airing, and some obscure upcoming movie called Star Wars: Episode

Minor correction, I know you're young, but there were no Simpsons episodes in 1985.

Serious answer 2: He's been very well regarded as the voice of The Joker, and has reprised this role a lot since he introduced it in the Batman animated series. The Arkham Asylum games got him nominated for a few awards, maybe he won one, not sure, but his work on those is fantastic.

I still think this episode was way stronger than a couple of the "Law and Order" esque missives from early on in the season, mostly the math episode (terribly overwrought) and the wikileaks episode (FIRST season Law and Order would upstand that)

The Good The Bad and the Argyle > Maniacal Laughter, like a billion times.

I once spent a lot of time and money building a fully functional MAME cabinet, and once I had it working to spec and humming perfectly, I never played it. Aging, everybody!

Interesting glimpse into how he has to consciously prevent things from going to his head, like flattery. I'm starting to realize that surviving as a celebrity means treating egotism as an active pathogen trying to infect you, something that needs to be purposely and actively resisted, lest you turn into Chevy Chase.

Best picture of 2013

BOxing Helena's lasting impact was that everytime I see a photo of Sharilyn Fenn, Enigma starts playing through my head.

You say a Moffat-penned drama feels exposition heavy and rushed in its opening minutes? The hell you say! A pox on thee!

I love Elementary, but this season had 3-4 shitty episodes that seemed so different than the rest of the run. Like Law & Order rejects.

Thank you!

What a terrible album cover. Simultaneously overwrought and half assed.

I just got a TV with 3-D support, (passive), and surprised myself by playing the entire Batman game on PS3 in 3D mode. Quite enjoyed it, but "3dtested", the highest ranking guide to 3D games, hasn't been updated since 2012. That's a sure sign that I'm in the minority.

I think comparing covers to the original versions misses the point, and I agree with you, this cover is excellent, it is almost a perfect pairing to the original.

Elbow's tepid cover of Mercy Street fails in the face of the also-recently-released Fever Ray version, which is on iTunes. Highly recommended!
