The way I look at it is that he BARELY won in 2016 and he certainly hasn’t won over anyone new. He most definitely has pushed a lot of people away though. Not too many people in the past 4 years went ‘You know what? I voted for Hilary, but I was wrong. Trump really knows what he’s doing, my life is in WAY better shape

It was super important that they thought Gary Sinise had the flu for that mission. Best to have that big brain on the ground and rely on Kevin Bacon to cycle the tanks.

They need to build a wall around the landing site and make the Dolphins pay for it.

People can be super accommodating of tyrants and tyranny as long as they perceive the tyranny and the tyrant to be beneficial to themselves. Because they’re short-sightedly selfish that way.

Obviously catching up here, but I worked for McDonald’s in the 80’s (store manager, went to Hamburger U, etc...) and they started painting the bricks at my store in probably around 84/85.  Can’t remember the exact year but I left McD’s in 87 and it was awhile before that.

Yes! I did think people laughed a bit too much during parts of the garage scene, but partly it was out of sheer delirium - and it was really special hearing the collective gasp when we first heard Stan’s voice as he walks in.

The McDonald’s was one of the more glaring anachronisms, I thought. The bright red roof and white exterior is a ‘90s look. In ‘87 it would have had a dark roof and unpainted brick.

This is one of the many reasons why we watch everything on streaming. Ad-supported TV is for squares!

Wow I was gonna say I thought I recognized Moscow University! My father went to Moscow University. My father is a geologist/geophysicist (he has a genius brain, as he was a poor peasant from Ukraine who applied to a 18 slot allowance and got accepted out of all ) . So I was gonna say yes, definitely Moscow.

Sorry, Philip and Elizabeth’s “punishment” wasn’t enough for me. They’re still alive and their kids are still alive. That’s way better than what they allowed when other (entirely innocent) people begged for their lives.

I was so broken inside for him when I realized that after he left the garage and resumed the useless stakeout, every second, every fucking single second after that, he was committing treason, again and again and again, and for the rest of his life.

Was it Moscow at the end though? Could have been a border city, unless there was a landscape thing I missed? I didn’t see the Kremlin in the final shot, for example.

I don’t think we’ve seen either tearing up nor breaking into tears. It was so perfect. That gasp, too.

That garage scene was seriously one of the best things that’s ever been on TV.
