I’m not relaxing on it. They advertise “Guaranteed” delivery dates, and routinely fail to meet them. I’ve had it happen quite a few times over the past month alone. And it’s not just during the holidays. If they can’t live up to their guarantees, they should stop calling them guarantees.

And they of course make people write the passwords down, which is an absolutely killer of security. It’s so utterly frustrating when you have no control over this manner of stupidity that is thrust on you--especially when your own data security hinges on it.

I work at a financial firm that restricts us to 8-character Active Directory passwords. We also have a series of password restrictions: At least one upper-case letter, one lower-case letter, and one number. We cannot use special characters, nor any form of MFA.
