Agreed. Love Parker Posey, hated Dr. Smith. Eventually I gave up and started fast forwarding through many of her scenes, they were just too much of an energy suck.

NFL players get CTE because head trauma is baked into the conditions of the work they do, they don’t get cancer from chemicals because playing football doesn’t involve industrial chemicals. Workers who work in chemical plants get exposed to chemicals and then maybe get cancer, because they work in chemical plants, but…
Your argument seems to be: Nikki Benz was assaulted on-set while shooting an adult film, and therefore porn itself is....?
Dangerous workplaces (sometimes literally to the point of worker death), abusive/manipulative/deceptive bosses, increasingly impossible customer demands, whistleblowers being threatened with blacklisting, etc, are problems to be found in practically every industry. I’m not downplaying the terribleness of what…
“given the ephemeral nature of the internet no one will remember this video in a year.”
What are you basing this on? 390 million on a 270 million production budget, plus marketing, and you get less back in real dollars from outside-the-us sales? It’s highly unlikely it made a profit, at least not from the theatrical run itself.
She had to know when she posted those awful comments that she was digging a grave,
Did they bring back fog and rain? I miss them terribly.
Reshoots are pretty common for big action films. It’s probably no big deal.
Stargate in the sense of basically a special forces military group operating from a big fortified base going out on missions every week to fight aliens. You can easily adjust tone and violence levels, the comment was more about premise and format.
Buck Rogers Hawk was super awesome compared to the Hawkersons on Lot.
People running around posing as the hero to give the hero’s secret identity an alibi is pretty baked into the superhero comic thing. Martian Manhunter did it for Kara in Supergirl as well. Superman and Batman have done it for each other.
People know the Hulk from the 70's series. And weirdly, a bunch of people were vaguely aware of Thor (Marvel version) because of Adventures in Babysitting.
Is it very sci-fi-y beyond the underlying premise? The couple episodes I watched it just came off as a spy show.
Well, the Hulk movie doesn’t fit because the universe moved in a different direction later and orphaned it. In its time it had plenty of hooks into stuff they just never followed up on.
I’d argue the spiritual heir to Buffy right now is Wynonna Earp.
I think Eccleston is a great actor. I look forward to checking out pretty much any project he’s in. However....
The scene where the mobsters realize they’ve been working with Nazis and instantly flip sides is one of my favorite scenes in move history, because, you know, fuck nazis, even gangsters know it.
I will not fight you, I love The Rocketeer.
I think there’s a separate discussion to be had about super extroverted “always on” type personalities. I don’t care about Haddish’s respectability as a woman or a black person, but I do find her generally exhausting.
