This is exactly it: Reloaded was okay, but it's a ton of set ups for Revolutions, and then Revolutions took Reloaded down with it.

I honestly think Speed Racer is almost completely great. Sweet natured, pretty safe for kids/families, IMO emotionally affecting, and visually amazing.

I don't think the movie is exactly "good", but I think it's underrated. The production design is gorgeous. There are nooks and crannies of worldbuilding that are quite interesting even if the main plot isn't. I loved the Terry Gilliam-esque bureaucracy segment, complete with actual Terry Gilliam cameo. I loved the

They made it very clear he was doing a huge amount of reps.

Avengers: EMH was pretty good. Maybe not as good as the best of the Timmverse DC stuff, but good. Then they replaced it with the godawful Avengers Assemble.

Please. Half the TV stuff I love come from non-American sources. The reality is the first season was uneven. Greg Poehler is a middling comedic actor, and the tone of his character veered from "Well meaning but clueless" to "Jesus what an asshole" quite randomly scene to scene.

They're basically stuntpersons who constantly put on live fight scenes with little or no benefit of things like padding, safety harnesses, or CG, plus the better ones have to be charismatic on the mic.

I think you're way off on Schwarzenegger. He's got charisma coming out of his pores. One of the great things he manages to pull off is to get audiences to buy into the idea that he's the underdog in his movies, despite the fact that he's..well, fucking Arnold Schwarzenegger.

That's why I noted he's never acted without cause. He's not just randomly kicking puppies or whatever. However, I stand by the notion that at the point where you're blowing up cars with rocket propelled grenades, or at the point where you're cowering behind a barracade as a gang of people are busting in to kill you

It's hard to read tone so I want to say I'm not trying to be hostile here, but this is pretty incorrect. The vast majority of Buffy fights had her in pants (often sweatpants or track pants) and sneakers or low heeled boots. Skirts were rare and any kind of high heel was rarer. She also wore a lot of relatively

It's so funny, because that's just such a corny action movie line, but I just didn't care. Doona Bae sells that shit. "Call me a bitch one more time", and i'm going "This dumb bastard is gonna call her a bitch again, and then he's gonna fucking die so bad…oop, there he goes."

If it's any consolation, Riley's dad is a real, well known Icelandic musician (KK) and he rocks the soul patch in real life.

It would be hilarious if a sensate cluster were all composed of managers of various countries medium level family dining type joint.

You could argue (and I'm not really joking) she helps some of the other sensates relax by getting them high.

Wolfgang is capable of great violence and that's problematic, but he's not a sociopath. He's clearly capable of empathizing with others, and he's never been shown to act transgressively without cause.

Everyone talks about the birth scene, but for me the absolute peak of this entire series is the fireworks scene. That's the scene where the beauty and the hopefulness of the show came together for me most. The music is wonderful, the visuals are wonderful, the ability of the Sensates to collectively enjoy fireworks,

One thing I find frustrating/amusing about this show is it gets a lot, I mean a _lot_ of criticism for inauthentic cultural or geographic detail, and then people from that culture or location pop in going "No no, that's totally accurate." (or at least plausible for a TV show). The show isn't perfect by any means but

Which is itself a shame because Marco Polo has a lot of great stuff in it, it just shouldn't be called Marco Polo, it should be called Kublai Khan and Friends (okay, maybe not that either).

I think 1.3 billion dollars is still "boffo".

Not "everyone". I watched that movie and came out of it thinking:
1: Nolan is not much better at action sequences than Burton was.
2. Nolan is god fucking awful with female characters.
3. The mobbed up bank manager played by William Fitchner and the convict played by Tiny Lister were more interesting than Batman and
