@buick61: Sorry if I sounded harsh on electric cars. I like electric cars and think they're a good idea.

Electric Cars are great for air quality in congested areas - but ultimately they are no more "green" than the power plants they get their charge from. In the US, it's likely an oil, coal or natural gas plant supplying the juice.
