Your anecdotal evidence is not backed by any crime statistics. The fact that you’ve personally seen crime does not mean that crime is higher than ever. Yes, there has been an uptick during the epidemic, but not even close to being a historic high.

Where are you located? Typhus is rampant in the LA metro area, they sort of had a plan to control it pre-pandemic by having the homeless camps move every week and bleaching the streets, that all went out the window. I’m sure the Typhus numbers are going to be horrific once they start keeping track again.

We’ve all heard people on the extreme right wing refer to the “coastal elite” like everyone on the coasts are weaklings ready to be rolled over, but anyone who has spent time in those cities knows it takes a special kind of grit to make it in those towns.
