Suuuuure “69" refers to the moon landing.

So did I until I was pointed towards the “Vanity Plates of Maine” Facebook page. Apparently the state lets anything fly until someone files a complaint.

Yeah, *right*, the 69 is from the moon landing. SUUURE. That pairs perfectly with a gaming term. Makes total sense.  DAFUQ?

I mean, everyone remembers when upon first stepping foot on the moon Neil Armstrong famously said to the world, but especially Russia, “[It’s] ‘69 [and the US totally] PWND YOU!”

I’ll concede that Pete Davidson isn’t the best SNL cast member but offensive to the point of banning this licence plate? Seems a bit much.

NP all day! It looks identical to the red 8-Series driven by the yuppies in the 1992 classic Beethoven (#90skid). In fact, given this car’s location in Vegas and the film was shot in Pasadena, are we sure we aren’t also looking at a piece of movie history too? Ha.

Pretty much any 10+ year old German car is going to send you to the poor house if you’re not handy with a wrench. 

I almost bought one of these in 2006. It was a 1995 850ci, black, and the asking price was less then than the price here.

There are other 8-series Bimmers to be had on the ‘Bay with similar use in similar condition for thousands less.

This one is NP Based on Miles and condition and price. For less than half the price you can have mine which you can drive every day and not be worried about dinging the paint. Some of the problems that are endemic to this model come regardless of the mileage, like rotted rubber lines and bad fuel pumps which don’t do…

Probably a hell of a lot better than our 50th birthdays will be.
