But does Verizon put/treat the cable cards as cable or data devices. In my current area Fios internet is available but you cannot get cable via Fios because of some existing contract only allowing Time Warner. I wonder if I could get around that with a cable card.

Phones and headphones are illegal for completely different reasons. One is distraction (phone), other is you can’t hear emergency vehicles etc. as previous replier stated. If you’re not focussing on the road, then you are distracted.

Most of the ones I've seen and used have thicker than normal wire which doesn't lay down as easy and is sort of stiff. It's a personal preference really, and I'm anti wires.
