This is a very very bad thing... When I was working with MSF we had a lot of women who came down with horrible bacterial and viral infections as a result from this. It is done in non sterile conditions with little to no regard for bacteria or viral contamination.

You cannot be fined for wearing a covering unless it fully or mostly covers your face... A headscarf or hijab that covers your hair and neck (face framing) does not warrant a fine.

You are confusing public/government institutions (like University)... Only full face coverings are completely illegal in France. I just got back from France for work and my work partner wore her Hijab at all times (except when it was just her and I in private).

Not that I can see, it requires a device to create an ad hoc network. You would need a jail broken ipad using mywi to do that. You may be able to connect the ipad to the adhoc created network from a laptop but its not a true iPhone to ipad tether.

Do you live in NY? I used to go to the one at Madison Square Park in Manhattan but it was literally the worst place for a dog to be. Dirty and waaaay to many kids and gawkers (no pun intended).

It's unfortunate but I have seen similar situations take place many times... In one instance a women brought a stroller with those wheels that look like they are for off-roading into the park.

You are absolutely right, you should call the police if that happens. I am completely serious, dogs should not be off the leash in areas that are not designated. It is dangerous for the dog and for the people around it.

It's not allowed at our park either (Peter Detmold Park) but parents just ignore it and it usually ends up in a confrontation with everyone in the park and the parents.

YES! THIS! Some kid tried to give Hershey kisses out at the park and his parents really had no idea that it is deadly to dogs. Also parents let their kids give food through the fence which really pisses me off also.

I have heard some crazy ones in that area... I think someone named their child 'Calcium', I know I heard 'Beetle', 'Seven' and something that sounded like 'Pickle'. It could very well have been 'Pickle'.
