As many people have pointed out at that point in history most of Egypts ruling class, middle class, law makers, generals etc were technically white. They were of Greek decent.

As others have pointed out most of the Egyptian ruling class, and even many average citizens, law makers, Generals, Nobles were white. They were mostly of Greek ancestry, the Ptolemies were mostly pure blooded Greeks.

I was not aware they were doing it to gymnasts... I mostly browse reddit for this low class stuff and all the pics were of Olympians in skimpy outfits. The only ones of others I saw were of some gymnasts faces that became memes because of their expression, but none objectifying their bodies.

I have seens shots of thighs, butts, stomachs etc of men... Why not just embrace it and admire the athletes not just for their skill but for dedication to physical excellence.

This picture was not taken to capture her body, it was taken to capture the ball being used. Of course they still wanted to include her body because that attracts viewers but the point of the picture was to show the ball.
