I should probably stop listening to Arghoslent. But on the plus side, I didn't actually buy anything!

Cross-posted from Newbies with a few additional thoughts.

That's a valid way to look at it, but I think it's more hard-learned pragmatism. After her live and let live policy backfired so spectacularly in Mereen, she borrowed a bit of Machiavelli's wisdom. Conquered people who remain defiant aren't easy to govern. Dany needs real converts.

I was guessing half the weight of an elephant, due to the flying, but who knows with Westerosi physics.

Haven't had a chance to look at a freeze frame, but I did remember Cat burned the note I was thinking of. Interested to see how this ploy plays out. Arya does seem distrustful of her sister. It's easy to forget they've been apart for like, 3-4 years (my understanding of the timeline is so fickel)? Formative years too.

As you can see, I didn't switch over my tags…

Dirty Dozen allusion? Great minds sir, great minds.

Nothing says kneel, bitches like a 3 ton, fire-breathing monster.

Reunions continue to dominate Season 7 and this episode gives us possibly the sweetest, or at the least most fan desired, in Gendry. His eagerness to get out of King's Landing spills over into an instantly endearing meeting with Jon, casting off Ser Davos's deception in a brilliant bit of narrative subversion. Excited

The end scene is the narrator basically saying, 'we only had 300 dudes and fucked 'em up but good. Now it's only a 3:1 deficit - no excuses!' The logic of the movie, if you can call it that, is to describe and display the enemy as actual monsters - the Immortals, the Resident Evil executioner monster, etc. Either

I'm sure others have said it, but RedLetterMedia described him (Synder) as one of the greatest trailer directors ever. I have to agree. He gets phenomenal shots for 15-20 seconds at a time. Can't tell a story or direct emotion to save his life, though.

Much like rap lyrics, violent video games, etc. etc., few to no people are influence to change their behavior from media entertainment. I'm not saying this isn't an interesting topic of conversation but you should really back something like this up: "…the movie really did lionize the heroic white warriors fighting to

Hammerfall is pretty run of the mill power metal though. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a saccharine chorus as much as the next guy, but Hammerfall is no Gamma Ray. The lack of mentioning Emperor makes me wonder why the list of releases wasn't trimmed to just pop and rap to make the author's point.

July 8th saw Smash Mouth's 'Fush Yu Mang' released but Emperor also put out 'Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk'. So you know, it's kind of a wash.

I'm pretty sure it was Littlefinger. All part of his plan to get the war brewing so he could be 'king of the ashes' as Varys once said (or something to that effect).

And this one says, "bastards make the best lovers".

Goddamn, that was fun.

The man is a BRIAN BLESSED style ham and I love it. OM NOM ALL THE SCENERY. FUCKING ALL OF IT

"As a besotted dwarf once said" just doesn't have the same ring.

The extended scenes at Dragonstone were great - felt like we got some actual plot advancement, plus a touch of familial sparring in what could well have been stretched over a few episodes just a couple of seasons back. Jon's exasperation that people have trouble believing him when he says "ZOMBIES" is a bit old
