The problem is, for a $100 tablet (or close) in the near future, the manufacturer may need to take the strategy of game consoles, selling at a loss to get market share. Apple won't do this (don't need to), Android OEMs won't (if a Samsung Tablet hooks you on Android, it doesn't mean you wouldn't get an HTC tablet

I must admit, there was much less sepia photos than I had anticipated.

If he's alive, Tim Cook's first "oh, and one more thing..." might be the most dramatic yet.

"People will still fete his fat ass like it's made of money"

When you "clam up" it means you are not talking. When you're "coked out" it means you will never stop talking. Mixing these two would have created some anomally that either cured cancer or ended the universe.

Sprint has that $10 "rich data fee" (formerly 4G fee) that they apply to all android phones, which I'm sure will apply to iPhones. Of course, if you move from an Evo or Epic, there wouldn't be a raise in cost.

"And the award goes to..."

I did like the second BioShock, though not as much as the first, I think when a game has a "hook" it really has to improve on the original for a sequel to be great, since the "hook" won't have the same affect the second time around.

I actually liked the first two games (actually played 2 before 1 so losing the weapon wheel didn't impact me like others) and I the the 25% regen was a good compromise for people who hate automatic healing and those who like med-packs only.

What's strange is that the example you use about swiping to unlock, wasn't upheld, it was done before Apple did it.

If your definition of evil is competing with Facebook, you are Mark Zuckerberg, or a moron.

Felt it in NJ while on the phone with somebody in NYC, it was about 15-20 seconds after I said it that she felt the earthquake. We're about 30 miles apart, I'm sure people south of me, closer to VA could have easily tweeted to alert people in NY well before it hit. Whether or not the NYers would have noticed their

Just wondering, has something like this worked? Could all multitouch patents be invalidated by Minority Report?

It is totally okay for anybody to make some bad happening to Sookie all about them, as that has been Sookie's role for the last couple seasons.

Good point, I was really making a dig at the lack of game selection on the Wii, didn't make that point too well, I confess.

I wouldn't call it a "failure", but I wouldn't call it a success either. It was the system that lost Nintendo it's dominance in the market. By sticking with cartridges Nintendo allowed for other systems to come in and take market share. While they made money on them (Hell, I had one), it was the beginning of their

Good point, by success I am referring to it's sales in regards to the competition. Each unit pulls a profilt, but thats because they don't sell hardware at a loss, not because they were flying off the shelves.

Thats true, I don't mean to imply low income people couldn't afford one, just that tablets are still priced as a "luxury."

While I'm not counting Nintendo "out" I think the article is missing one very important point. Of the last three (non-mobile) consoles Nintendo released, only one was successful. And the Wii did well based on three things, 1) Gimmick (not to say its a bad thing) 2) Price and 3) Mario.

I think Tablets in general are geared at higher income people, not just Apple. In fact, Apple has shed its "Apple Tax" image somewhat with their mobile devices.
