Dammit. Hahaha

Oops. Didn’t mean to reply to this, sorry.

Even if you do feel compelled to do a burnout leaving a car show, at least get the damned thing straight before you apply power. If you are turning around a corner and floor it, you’re going to go slideways into people or another car or a curb or a baby polar bear.

My ‘86 is currently showing 207k and running strong. Turbo holds pressure at 15psi. Very fun. Plenty fast for my 17 year old dumbass.

Sorry I just saw you already got your Merkur education. The stupid name teamed with the fact that the Lincoln Mercury dealers had no idea how to sell the damn things meant that the Merkur brand went defunct in 1989. It also didnt help that the XR4Ti cost twice as much as the Ford Taurus launched in the same year.

Merkur literally is just the German word for Mercury.

Actually, Merkur became it’s own brand alongside Lincoln and Mercury. This was called the Merkur XR4Ti. There was also a Merkur Scorpio which was a 4 door luxury car. GMC owned the rights to the Sierra name in the U.S..

They actually made a few HHR SS delivery vans. Chevy can have a sense of humor, and I want one badly.

“Petrified Peach” sounds like a wicked band name. Might have to steal that one.

“Cuban Chrome” It’s actually a thing now.

Holy shit. that sounds like one crazy, terrifying story.

I normally keep quiet on these things in fear of being lost in the shuffle, but for once I feel compelled to speak up.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.

No. It doesn't.

Now playing

Here’s what I wrote about Mitsubshit earlier this year after the Chicago Auto Show:

Merkur Scorpio in the first picture?

This picture was taken at an exotic dealer. It was lined up with a Carrera GT and a P1. Quite the lineup.

918 917

It’s just a bit too loud for me. I like that particular car in a darker blue or that red in the picture up top looks fantastic.
