FINALLY. Somebody else said it.
Everybody’s willing to dump on Batman & Robin, but my contention is this: Everything wrong with B&R is also wrong with Batman Forever.
A short list...
1. Batnipples. Every B&R critique I’ve read complains about Batnipples, but none acknowledge that they were in BF, too.
2. Carey and Jones…
It makes sense when you hear the full conversation.
BM: Can you drive stick?
JG: No, it’s 2005.
BM: Crap. I was hoping you could take my backup-mobile and do some stuff, but it’s a manual. Whatevs. I’ll have to let you drive the Tumbler, then.
I guess this explains why Ford pulled out of World Rallycross? No sense in promoting/developing a platform you’re not planning on continuing.
I’m happy that they didn’t change how Han got it, even if they did change the details.
Quick qualifier: The earnings call they’re referencing was towards the end of January, and the increase in Jonas’ target price was mid-March, so not entirely 1:1.
I recall a version of this story where what Han actually won was his pick of several ships Lando had in a warehouse somewhere. Lando had hoped/expected Han wouldn’t notice all the upgrades/etc. in the dirty old Falcon and opt for one of the flashier ships.
An interesting thread in all of this is that investors are finally getting a bit fed up with automakers’ tradition of working in secret.
I’m still upset by what the Gov’t did to GM; from the way they selected dealerships to shutter, and the killing of Saturn and Pontiac.
One thing I’m grateful for, however, was the death of Oldsmobile. I was never able to articulate the distinction between Buick and Oldsmobile, and believe the company’s better off with…
‘Evoltis’ sounds like the name of a medication with lots of side effects
That’s only like a 6.25% annual rate, which isn’t terrible.
Here’s my list;
Pro: Once wrote a script that had Batgirl as a character.
Con: So did Akiva Goldsman, except his was good enough to get produced.
Isn’t it a little early to get excited? I’m not seeing anything in her resume that tells me she knows how to write a film like this. Let’s all just calm down and hope for the best.
This game was always fighting an uphilll. It’s a sequel that had nothing in common with the first game. Unrelated stories, different protagonists, and even entirely different play styles. I know we generally look at sequels as the safe/lazy choice, but that was definitely not the case, here.
Back to the intro... I…
Does spending more money on a game make you feel obligated to play it?
Seriously, like every single kind of car a person could be interested in is represented...
Something to note...
Solved it.
but in my heart of hearts I think that Rogue One is my favorite star wars movie.
And I thought Gary Oldman nailed it as Dr. Smith.
