I welcome this wholeheartedly! It's very reasonable, IMO.
@Female Orca: Yes, yes and yes. :P
@Menolly aka Robyn: I'm not sure what you're on about here, but are you trying to imply that this kind of action can be justified in any way? Was there a "good" reason for the brother being stabbed that we're somehow missing?
@qbah: Try GamersGate, Impulse or D2D. Steam isn't the only digital-download service around nor is it necessarily the best.
@slotter: You probably did insult his family. They're called Sony.
@ThisCharmingMan: Yeah, EA finally makes a couple of good games (Dead Space and Mirror's Edge) and now they're going to change what made them good in the first place. I'm still willing to give them a chance of course, but keeping my expectations low especially after C&C 4.
@Evdor: Completely agree.
@Ladi: AoC is still by far the MMO I enojoyed the most, out of about the ten MMOs or so that I've played despite all its problems. I loved the gameplay and the visuals only sweetened the deal.
@Ladi: It kinda does look dated, though. I assumed that after Aion, Age of Conan and seeing some of NCSoft's upcoming UE3-based MMOs that the genre would finally kind of try to keep up with the rest visually.
I have to say that, while coping and escapism are definitely a big part of why I play games, they're not the only reasons. There are many reasons, but the first and foremost is entertainment. They're just fun.
Well, it was obvious this was going to transfer over to consoles eventually, I just didn't think it would be this soon.
@DaFox: That should be possible. A lot of GPU power would be needed, though. One 5870 probably won't be enough to play games at high settings at a resolution like that.
@chopblock: The bezel would probably not be as annoying as you might think.
@Erwin: Lol, I see what you did there...
@JC Whitless: It's the Dacia Sandero! :D
@Fyro: A few hundred dollars every few months? That's just silly. I haven't upgraded anything in my PC in almost 3 years and it's still running everything great.
Those are the same guys that did the San Andreas multiplayer! Awesome!
@Voltaris: —"True, plenty of companies do release games without restrictive copy protection but they are not selling millions of copies of their games. "—
NeVeRMoRe666: May I direct your attention to some of these, then?
