I love this. Reminds me of what concept cars were when I was a kid... Not just making something nearly production, bullshitting specs, and not building it. Something wildly imaginative and a legitimate attempt to project the future of automotive technology, drawn in gorgeous and impressionistic strokes.

Sold listings are kosher, so here’s a winner.

Here in Minneapolis those things soldier on without any damn body panels. I don’t think a 240 can rust in half, at least not in a functionally significant way.

Regular features were cool. Production value on many videos was way subpar for a publication the size of Jalopnik (i.e. junkyard video). Often too short. Pretty funny though and definitely a lot of potential. Could do with more content geared specifically toward what Jalopnik is about. Remember that MCM video where

This is like, the least informed comment I’ve ever read.

VAG pulls revenue in excess of 200 billion Euros a year.

FCA has also been plagued by quality, safety and economy issues. Somehow I wouldn’t see any of that happening with Geely’s Volvo reboot, and that could be enticing. Imagine FCA cars finally filling the 4cyl HPT sized gap in their engine lineup with Drive-E derivatives, of all things.

I’m not really comfortable with what you’ve said about the driving you did on public roads, especially as someone who lives in said foothills. We can go back and forth about how you are more responsible than other drivers, and more in control (debatable, given your history), and how you have no intention to condone

Would this have happened if he was going slower? No? Occam’s razor breh

The 200 AWD is 3795

The A3 is basically a kitted up Golf and is actually pretty compelling, although its biggest problem is a kitted up Golf in competition. The 2 series is the better driver by a mile. The A-class though sucks.

SRT Dart, eventually. I didn’t think it was likely until they came out with the 200, and now it all makes sense. I didn’t understand why the Dart wasn’t available with a V6 and AWD until the 200 came out, and clearly the idea was to hold off on the most desirable powertrain combo unless you step up to the

Ok, if you were talking about CA pricing then that title would leave a whole fuck ton of wiggle room.
“You can get [anything under $10k] for the price of a used Civic!”
or
“You can get [anything under $35k] for the price of a used Tacoma!”

Ok, but like... the V6 and AWD makes the 200 a neat car. Definitely among the faster in its class (and with NA power!), a little less FWD, etc. $26365 net price. Tons of standard features. How is that not worth it over the 4 cyl?

Trionic was great but as far as reliability is concerned it was mostly valuable for knock detection, and GM’s tech has definitely caught up in that regard.

All of GM’s technology for turbocharging the High Feature V6 came from Saab. That’s 40 years of development to make reliable boost, and they definitely have the mechanical parts down.

omg it’s like a retromodern saab 93 I love it

Except people who follow that logic are under the impression that you’re selling your modified car to normal people or CarMax or whatever - people who are looking for an unmodified car. The whole idea that the car was modified the “wrong way” for someone else is kind of bullshit. If a car has nice suspension, that’s

That’s called “eleven minutes in Minnesota.”
