I was very specific on what GTI I wanted, so the dealer here agreed to get the exact one I wanted from New Orleans (to Dallas). The story I got was that a semi ran the car off the road into a guard rail on the drive over. Never saw the damage, but was given the impression it was significant. Without too much fuss,

Fair enough - more time for me to come up with $12k and change.

Yeah yeah yeah, but did you get to ride the Enduro???

First car was a 1991 Prelude Si. If this is a 91 Si (and not a 2.0 Si) it should have the 2.1 liter that was an option in 90-91. That said, the B21A1 (2.1L) used a FRM sleeve that is notorious for wearing out - most get replaced by a B20A (2.0L).

Pontiac G8 GT was not available with a manual, only the GXP.

Looks like they changed the transmission too? Doesn't look like a manual shifter and those look like paddles behind the wheel...

Is there still a garage / vault tour?

I debated this for a minute, but quickly decided not to return to the headache of Mini reliability and sacrifice a little space for a Mk7 GTI.

No 6.4L, no care.

Yours is basically what I think I would order, but I'd love a chance to check out the DCC. Did you get a chance to test drive one with DCC? How's it compare to base suspension?

Regarding moving out of the roadway - be sure to get the other driver's information or at least license plate before you do. In high school, I was rear-ended at a red light, got out and talked to the driver and agreed to pull around corner, out of the way at which point he raced straight through the intersection never

Oh and he has the clock door cover, anyone who's owned a 3rd gen Prelude knows how excruciatingly rare that part is.

My first car was a 91 Prelude - not 4WS but had ABS. Loved that car.

For fun, I priced an extended warranty on this car through USAA/Assurant - $2400 for 12 months / 12k miles; $3700 for 24 months / 24k miles; $5400 for 36 months / 36k miles. Ouch.

Should it baby?

No Focus RS? Any idea when we'll learn more on that one.

Yeah yeah yeah - but where's the Focus RS?

BMW M88/1. Because red.

LCI update (2008-2010) and M-Sport really help a lot.

Nope. 50th Anniversary > *.991
