@NYGuy1976: Also, a lot of the items are made in the USA, France or Italy by immigrant workers who aren't necessarily paid a fair or legal wage.

@tiredfairy: It depends on which region of each state you're in. There are crazy inexpensive parts of New York State as well. I grew up in Upstate NY in a house that cost half as much as my state college education. I currently live downstate and pay more in rent each month than my parents paid for their mortgage.

@SarsDoesn'tSave: He just told me that the idea of rape occurring any time there is not consent is a logical fallacy. I don't know why I ever bother. Thanks for the link but it's not going to help. Apparently these statistics are fabricated by logical fallacies.

Ugh, I'm arguing with my cousin on Facebook about the Mark Sanchez rape allegations. Hey, ladies, did you know that in America, men are innocent until proven GUILTY of rape charges? Gee, so glad I have such smart, older cousins to mansplain the nuances of these things.

@cleo_le_fay: No, definitely doesn't sound like you're stupid or ambitious. It sounds like you're responsible and have a lot of forethought and you made the best decision for you. You're going to be a lot better off in two or three years when you have your BA/BS and a minimal level of student debt. So cheers to you!

@I'm Ron Burgundy?: This girl took her own life as a result of a sexual assault that might be false because that one girl that one time in that one situation made a false rape allegation and the poor menz are so oppressed, and you think a football team losing is proof not only of God but of his compassion toward that

@PaintedTrollop: Seriously. One day I was walking back and forth from my bosses office and dog food kept falling into my hair. I finally looked up and found that a flying squirrel had taken up in my boss light fixture. I caught it with an oven mit and threw it out the front door. But yeah, squirrels are just rats with

@waverly: And after an NRA meeting.

@crotchety: The idea behind it is that the childhood obesity epidemic is so out of control that we absolutely have to do something to stop it at a higher level, instead of allowing parents to make their own purchasing decisions that affect the health and well-being of their children. Outlawing toys in Happy Meals is

@DaniFae is so into you but way too smart for you: Pardon my French, but that is so fucking stupid. This is really why we should allow parents to actually parent their children instead of leaving the responsibility to the government, who enact laws like this one that could potentially result in the exact opposite of

@AlabamaWorley: What it really comes down to is whether or not you think it's the government's place to be making these decisions for you. Most people know by now that McDonald's is not nutritious food. Most people who eat at McDonald's don't eat there because they're looking for nutritious food. And if there is

@SarsDoesn'tSave: If they were to lose two pounds per week (the maximum amount one should lose while maintaining health), they would lose about 24 pounds tops over a summer. Not 100.

@teachem: Don't try too hard to get close with someone who insists on keeping you at arms length. Especially someone who is sending you mixed signals. Sounds more like he's using you to figure out some of his own baggage, and you definitely deserve better than that.

@kimberlymaybe: I grew up near the Great Lakes where people speak nasally. Remember the mom from Bobby's world? We talk like that. She would almost certainly say orange as one syllable.

@CurtCole: No, they don't. Because there is no "prestige" dialect in language.
