I think you might have missed my point, cars don’t need more safety mandates, operators need better training. Driver’s ed in this country is a joke, which is what the real issue is. Creating an impenetrable envelope of invincibility isn’t going to make anyone care more about driving, its going to make them care less.

You mean like this, but a 400, right?

It’s also bullshit because of his implication that President Obama has been conspiring with his AG to take away people’s guns. We need to start calling that bullshit out. Calling for very targeted regulations of current loopholes and increased compliance and enforcement of existing law =/= taking away guns.

Good. I hope the States follow through, too. AND make the penalties more severe.

Ute’s for everyone? I’m cool with this!

I like that this is a truck without pretense, as opposed to the hyper-testosteronal bro-mobile that every other pickup has seemingly become.

Can they lose stars for having low-beams that are too bright and/or too high up? Constantly being blinded at night by every truck and SUV/CUV and even some cars. It’s annoying as all hell and downright dangerous. Just because your hood is five feet up doesn’t mean it’s OK for the headlights to be up there too. Stick

The only thing whiter is leveraging yourself up to your eyeballs with debt for a McMansion

Hey Volvo, here’s an idea for a come back make a proper one of these.

The best advice I’ve ever seen is telling #3 to rub one out, then think about his crush. Laughed out loud reading but it is 100% true.

I was just saying the same thing after my trip to the UK.

Out of curiousity... was a Citroen ever in the cards?

I find the line between working for me and leisure blurry. I’ll just check Twitter for a second or I wonder if I got any other replies on that comment. This is an excellent idea, but first you need discipline.

People keep clamoring for a new Type II when the Hiace exists

Stop caring what other people think about what you wear. People in general can shove their shallow hurtful opinions right up their bunghole as far as I am concerned. And a LOT more people really need to take that attitude when someone forces their opinion on someone else trying to make them feel bad about themselves.

Goddamn it, just put lights and reflective strips on everything. I know this is black-peacoat season but do realize that a solid black blob crossing the road is hard to see.

This is spot on. I survived cycling to class for 6 years in Raleigh and Atlanta with this mentality. You have to assume anyone around you is likely to do something unpredictable at any time (including peds).

Don’t assume the guy making a right on red sees you, don’t assume someone isn’t going to turn in front of you

Not particularly impressive. You could do probably drive across america on dirt roads in a Ford Focus.
