““two incomes can get you a house and a middle class life” money.”
““two incomes can get you a house and a middle class life” money.”
I honestly don’t think affordable housing works for most people. You need a degree to teach which means you have loans. A 36k income max (what it is in my area) for housing is great, but when you have loans, you still can’t afford it and end up living in the cheaper outer areas with roommates anyways.
It’s also the bad experiences in college with education majors — which is considered a softer major than ‘communications.’ We remember the basic bitches that wanted to be kindergarten teachers and we’re like... really?
“One thing many people fail to grasp is how a teacher’s workday goes far beyond their regulated hours, making long commutes a more challenging issue.”
“it is depressing how many bright would-be teachers don’t end up n the profession because of pay.”
For another perspective (not that you’re wrong) one gut reaction can be “wow I would love to live in SF/NYC but I can’t afford to because I know the cost of living is so high.” I feel the same way about having kids. There are things some people won’t do because they are conservative with money. But that ignores people…
privatize all schools in the bay area and see what happens. maybe people will want to spend enough money giving teachers a living wage then.
1. They aren’t society’s heros.
He doesn’t. He got a stipend from a non-profit. He didn’t even pitch this to Jezebel. He got charity.
This guy is a predator.
This is honestly a great answer to deadbeat dads. Have the payments be on a credit card — the mom gets the money in a timely manner and they are punished for being deadbeats by having to pay increased interest.
seriously, fuck this guy.
“the custodial parent doesn’t get that chance”
Don’t force the victims of sexual abuse to lose their jobs by canceling their show. Easy enough.
yeah... what the fuck jezebel? that’s pretty telling.
“Did you see how Amber & Friends bullied Jubilee incessantly,”
“spouting off”
how did they flex their pigment privilege on the show?
It’s super bullshit that finding “the right person” is luck. Most people pick immature people don’t don’t push them to grow beyond it. So when the spark fades you are with someone who 1) won’t work at it and 2) is very bad at working at it when they do (via insecurities and poor communication skills). You can hold out…
Yeah, past the age of 25 if your religion/culture is shitty, YOU are shitty.
