Even with your numbers, that just means that 21.5% of Americans are bigots of some stripe (hating Black people or Jewish people or Latinx people or Muslim people or Women people or...) and also plan to vote for Trump. Honestly, I’d say that’s a lowball number — polling has shown that closer to 70% of declared Trump

That’s how I read it.

She wishes she’d have been more accurate and said “most”. :-)

What a bunch of PC whiners. She’s just telling it like it is.

she was way off!

Exactly what I was going to post!

Why should Hillary Clinton give a shit what Reince Priebus and Frank Luntz think about anything at all?

But the things she was saying are true. It’s absolutely true that there is a very large portion of his supporters are literal white supremacists and racists and bigots and misogynists, and it’s also true that there’s kind of no point for her to even attempt to win them over because they are those kinds of people and

She had a great followup to one of the mouthbreathers:

Boy, the Republicans can dish it out, but they sure as hell can’t take it. That much is for sure.

Maybe she regrets saying only half when in fact she meant all?

But...she never said “half.” And she's also not wrong.

Which makes it the 17,575th thing they’re full of shit on. The issue isn’t them, it’s appealing to whatever undecided voters are still out there. I don’t know how much pull that will have on them that the previous 17,574 didn’t.

Yes! Calling put Trump supporters for their racism, sexim, homophobia, and general hatred of anyone non-white, non-male, and non-Christian is horrible! We should be like the media and pretend they are perfectly nice people who just have different opinions.

Right!? The hypocrisy is outrageous on this one. Look who’s fragile widdle fee fees got hurt now! PC culture! SAD!

They should be flattered. Deplorable is better than what they are.

“I regret saying ‘half’—that was wrong,” Clinton said.

The walk back should’ve been : “I regret saying half. I meant 75%”.

I think part of this ‘controversy’ is fueled by Clinton using a ten-cent word like ‘deplorables’ as opposed to something Trump would have used (clowns, bozos, assholes, Mexicans etc.). It makes the phrase sound elitist.

Fine, Republicans. FINE. FINE, WE GET IT. We spent eight years screaming that you couldn’t find a worse president than Dubya, and you’ve proved us wrong. Congratulations, Dubya isn’t the most incompetent nominee for a major party in U.S. history. You were right and we were wrong. Are you happy? ARE YOU HAPPY?
