Cubs made the right call sending him down at the start. But I’ll tell you what, I would pay good money to be in the negotiating room when Boras and the Cubs negotiate his next contract. He is going to rake them over the coals for doing that.
Champions League is awesome when you get to the second leg of the round. It’s a pain in the ass watching the first round games. It positively blows knowing one team will sit back in the first leg and completely play defense, just to avoid giving up a goal and not giving a shit about offense.
I’m betting on the winner of the STL/Minny matchup beating Rangers in the Finals.
After the Red Wedding episode, I was tired of being blind-sided by the twists while watching the show. I decided to pick up the books and read them. Now after completely catching up, finding out they are making huge changes to the storyline kind of annoys me. I mean, come on! I busted my balls reading those damn…
Mad Men
I’m surprised it was only one tooth, to be honest. Reaves put himself in a terrible spot and Seabrook had him lined up.
Nope Jon Casey. Kypreos took out Fuhr with a ridiculous cheap shot the round before against the Maple Leafs.
Not a fan of either team. But you have to admit, that was one fucking crazy day of soccer.
No kidding. Can’t wait for this year’s epic Blues playoff meltdown.
What pisses me off about Casey was the weak ass stick save attempt. At least try and use your blocker.
One thing that absolutely blows my mind about that game: it was 0-0 in double overtime. No one scored a goal for 80+ minutes until that play. I didn’t even think that was possible in hockey. Without a once in a lifetime shot, who knows how long that game goes.
It was 99% on Gretzky. No arguments there. Completely pathetic turnover and then half-ass hustle to get back.
That was an outstanding team. Also, fuck Kypreos. That was the most blatant unpunished cheap shot in playoffs I can ever remember.
At 10 years old, this is officially the first time my heart was broken.
I never paid much attention to the Sox until I married by wife. You are correct, there is a really good number of Sox fans. Tons more than I had thought. They just get piss-poor media coverage outside of Chicago because of the obsession with the Cubs.
I agree. I never got the fascination with those things. They are nasty.
"Much better to rock a fancy mechanical pencil that will quickly run out of lead, and then you click it, but then it gives you too much lead, so you push it back down and the lead snaps off and I WILL KILL ALL OF YOU"
The false advertising in the grocery business is unreal. I worked as a stocker through high school and during summers in college, and it blew my mind all the little tricks companies have. The one that stands out the most is when people were on the "more protein" kick. Every box that had protein written on the front in…
