It’s really no different than buying Tesla shares at $400 and then Musk going on Twitter and making an ass of himself and suddenly Tesla stock drops by more than 50%. Would have been nice if he’d done that before you bought the shares, but whatcha’ going to do? Okay, maybe a little different...

After purchasing their 3rd Tesla no less....

Tesla seems to not care too much about customer relations. Given that they used to be purely supply constrained with no credible competition but are now looking at a changing market place, that might be something they’ll want to rethink.

“You don’t take out a loan for an iPhone,”

People would rather watch Fox than use their brains.

“Automakers in the U.S. are still struggling with supply chain issues" tell me about it. I've been waiting for the new Oldsmobiles for what feels like 20 years now.

Santa?

Sorry but this is flat wrong. I work in sustainability, doing what’s called ‘environmental life cycle assessment’. These are studies of the environmental impact of things throughout their entire life cycle (resource extraction, manufacture, use, maintenance, repair, end-of-life). EVs are better than ICEs across the

Your claim that EVs are not more eco-friendly than ICE is tired and has been proven that EVs are many times more eco-friendly even if they charged only by coal fired power plants.

Anyone who claims that EVs are more eco-friendly than a modern ICE is fooling themselves.

Do you ever wonder how this keeps coming up?

We have no idea what will happen in 5 years when the wave of EVs needing new batteries

An EV is absolutely more environmentally friendly. They start out with a significant disadvantage, but the efficiency in using energy catches up quick. Even if the entire electrical grid was oil and coal, an EV would be a better choice.

I think if you ask a lot of people they wouldn’t list eco friendliness of EVs as being a top reason for purchasing EVs. I’ve owned EVs for 7 years and it isn’t even my top 2 reasons.

Renewable liquid fuels are not the panacea the Midwest ethanol co-ops would have you believe. They cause innumerable problems, from increased energy use to food shortages - when we grow ethanol corn, we’re sacrificing farmland that should be growing food and we're using lots of fossil fuels to grow, distill and

  • EVs are more eco-friendly. Even if your electricity is generated 100% by coal/natural gas it’s still better for the environment due to increased efficiency with a larger turbine generating the energy vs a tiny one in an ICE. on top of that because electricity is agnostic you can charge it anywhere without needing to

While the only 2 choices are Electrify America or give more money to the planet’s biggest douchebag, I’ll stick with my ICE. Add to that the cold weather issues. Good article also.

Infrastructure is really not a big deal unless you live in an apartment. that’s going to be one of the things that is going to have to change in the coming years. cold weather is also really not a factor and will be less so as more EV makes add heat pumps to their vehicles. my 2017 Bolt still nets more than 200 miles

I have over 4 years left on a 100% renewable contract...at 14 cents for power and delivery charges. Looking at the market place now, there is a 3 month contract for 10.8 cents (again power and delivery). YMMV.

Except it’s not
